Westminster College, in partnership with the USSA, is pleased to announce the Westminster College/USSA Tuition Grant program. To help you fulfill your educational aspirations while you continue to train and compete, Westminster College has become an Official Partner of Higher Education to the U.S. Ski Team and U.S. Snowboarding.

Qualifying USSA athletes will receive full tuition scholarships to attend Westminster College, at either the undergraduate or graduate level, with a couple exceptions in MBA and PBBA programs. In this capacity, Westminster is offering current national team athletes the opportunity to apply for the Westminster College/USSA Grant program, which could potentially cover your total tuition costs. Westminster College is located in Salt Lake City, only thirty-minutes from Park City. Utah's only private, comprehensive liberal arts school, Westminster College prepares its students for success through a strong foundation of liberal arts education combined with cutting-edge professional programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

• Current members of the 2010 - 2011 USSA National Team and alumni as noted below.

o   All national team members, as well as former Westminster/USSA athletes are eligible to apply for the Westminster College/USSA Tuition Grant program for benefits applicable within the current agreement period; ending June 2013.    

o   USSA team alumni, who retired from the team in good standing, may participate in the tuition grant program after their retirement date, provided that they began their studies at Westminster while they were active members of a USSA national team.

• You must meet Westminster’s standards for admission. The Tuition Grant Program can only be applied toward tuition. General fees (including fees associated with the aviation program), books and other course materials will not be covered.

• Athletes who attend may be asked to participate in the Winter at Westminster program or other college programs. Use of photos of participating athletes may also be considered with the athlete’s prior approval. 

• If demand exceeds availability of credit hours, tuition grants will be awarded to athletes based on criteria including their team ranking, grade point average (GPA) and team status relative to retirement. 

• All applicants must submit their WC/USSA Tuition Grant Scholarship request to the College’s Financial Aid Office before each semester according to the due dates noted below.

• If an athlete is expelled or is eliminated from the USSA team, the tuition credit will be retracted at the end of that particular semester.
