Prior learning can occur outside of traditional classrooms and course work. Many schools will accept a test as evidence that you understand the course. This means if they do, you won't have to sit in class, pay for tuition and spend your time on topics you already understand. Many of the courses you can test out of may be general electives or special courses. Go to this web page to learn more about testing out of classes.
According to a scientific study done by Rosetta Stone, relative to learning the Spanish language:
After 55 hours of study with Rosetta Stone we can expect with 95 percent confidence that the average WebCAPE score will be on the level that will be sufficient to cover the requirements for one semester of study and the student can be placed directly in second semester Spanish courses in any college.
The USSA agreement with Rosetta Stone will allow all current athletes, coaches, and staff the opportunity to access 10+ languages via the Internet. The most recent versions of Spanish, Chinese, Russian, French, German, etc. will be available to you at all three levels via the Internet. The only cost to you will be a headset microphone.
