Nordic International Coach of the Year

Dave Jarrett

Congratulations to Dave Jarrett, men's Nordic Combined head coach, for winning the 2010 USSA Nordic International Coach of the Year award.

Dave Jarrett, a Colorado native, spent his younger years skiing alpine. But, by the time he was a teenager, he had moved to the nordic sports and was a member of the U.S. Ski Team from 1992 - 1998.

He enrolled in the University of Colorado after retiring and graduated with a degree in exercise physiology in 2000. He turned to coaching after that, working with the juniors at Soldier Hollow, the 2002 Olympic cross country venue, and joined the U.S. Ski Team in 2002 as the World Cup B coach.

He took the nordic combined head coach position following one of the program's most successful seasons in 2008.  Then in 2010, he had unprecedented success at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver where the Nordic Combined team won four medals including one gold and three silver.
