USSA defines alpine tactics as the strategy of optimizing speed and line relative to the skier's ability to attain the fastest time. The training environment is one of the most powerful tools a coach can use to teach skiing, because skiing performance and learning is directly dependent on the successful selection, modification and quality of the training environment.
